Last January I started a “Quilt Block of the Month” at my favorite North Liberty quilt shop. I finished the top last week. The blocks were in the Log Cabin pattern(the red square in the center is supposed to be the chimney). Each block had a finished size of 4″x4″ and consisted of 28- 3/4″ strips of fabric. There were also blocks that had houses in them. 35 blocks total. It’s just sized to be a wall hanging, lucky for me. Any bigger and I may have had to leave directions in my will for who which of my survivors should finish it!

My load of scraps = 3/4″ light & dark fabric strips.
